Style Profile: Alexa Chung

To say Alexa Chung has brought back the androgynous look is an understatement. A self proclaimed tomboy, Alexa is constantly styling her looks with tailored menswear and adding a vintage-feminine appeal all at the same time. This ultra cool British It-girl has such a playful take on fashion and always seems to be having fun with what she wears. Not only can she mix high with low (Topshop with Chanel?!) but she always looks comfortable doing it. Although not exactly my taste at times, I can appreciate Alexa Chung's unique style and am definitely in love with her taste in accessories....case in point: leopard print handbags.

I love  how red accessories instantly add so much character to an outfit. When coupled with anything leopard print, it is pure fabulousness. I do also like the way Mireia unexpectedly coupled red with grey, it is such a classic look.

How To: Leather Jackets

I think this is the perfect How To for this time of year. The temperatures are rising just enough that a big, bulky winter coat isn't needed anymore. But what is the perfect replacement, you ask? Without question, the leather jacket. The leather jacket is a must for in between seasons and you can't go wrong with a classic black moto style. I have even seen some pretty good versions at Forever 21, which is proof that you do not need to spend a grand to achieve this look. I also love to mix a leather jacket with feminine pieces such as a floral print blouse or a flowy dress. However you decide to wear it, you will no doubt look chic, so hang up your winter coat already!

I've loved Zoe since her Crossroads days and her style has evolved so much since then. She carries herself with such confidence and class that you can't help but notice. And I am obsessed with that Givenchy bag, gorgeous.

Monique Lhullier Fall 2011

I have been dreaming of being married wearing Monique Lhullier since I can remember and now I know why. After seeing her Fall 2011 collection, I cannot believe how gorgeous her gowns are! Overall, this collection was very sultry and feminine. And it clearly displays Monique's ability to design for a woman's body. Everything was fitted to perfection especially all the separates. The final gown is my top pick - it is composed of nearly a thousand ostrich feathers. Genius.

How To: Winter White

I just hate the cliche fashion rule that white should only be worn between Memorial Day & Labor Day. I am one of those people that lives in white during the summer, so who says it can't be done during other times of the year? I think this rule is definitely meant to be broken - enter Winter White. This color is a great way to incorporate some white into your Winter wardrobe. It is super classy and is such a great neutral. So go ahead, break this fashion rule and add some Winter White into your wardrobe!

High Gloss Magazine recently released their premier issue and I have been quite impressed. It is a fashion/lifestyle/interior design online magazine. I honestly can't believe that it's free, but I'm going to take advantage! My favorite section was the style must-haves, I'm always a sucker for lists like this to build my wardrobe on.
