How To: Shorts & Tights

I think shorts with tights is a very underrated Winter/Fall styling option that many people don't consider. This is a fun way to style items that you usually don't have the opportunity to wear and all it costs is about $15 for a new pair of tights. It is also nice being able to mix in separates from other seasons into your current wardrobe. I love all three of these looks and their ability to easily transition from season to season.

Ahh....Spring.

Can't wait until you're here, I've missed you.

How To: Maxi Skirts

As much as I have lived in jeans and boots this winter, I love the idea of mixing up my cold weather style and dressing more feminine. The maxi skirt is the perfect solution to get out of a boring winter style rut. Maxi's can also easily transition into Spring/Summer (I'll do another How To: Maxi Skirts when it warms up!) I think this piece adds a ladylike touch to an outfit and looks best with a tucked in top and platforms - the higher the better; the skirt will most likely cover them but it will make your legs look super model long!

Paris Fashion Week: Elie Saab

I have been somewhat following the craziness that is Paris Fashion Week and I have been, if anything, amused by some of the unique designs. I know that most of the things that go down the runway will never end up in an actual store, but it has been interesting seeing these truly unique pieces. I was most impressed with Elie Saab who debuted his collection on Tuesday. Every-single-thing that went down the runway was stunning, so soft and elegant. These are the most glamorous gowns I've seen at Paris Fashion Week thus far and I am sure we will probably see them worn by a celeb or two come award season.

AND the MVP in my book:

Isn't she a beaut? Just gorgeous.

Style Profile: Fashion Editors

I often find style inspiration just by seeing some of the most powerful people in the fashion industry. They have access to all the amazing designer pieces before anyone else, but it is clear that these ladies all have their own personal style. Here are some of my favorite fashion big shots:

Taylor Tomasi Hill: Marie Claire

Emmanuelle Alt: Vogue Paris

Christine Centenera: Harper's Bazaar Australia

Miroslava Duma: Harper's Bazaar Russia
