ChloƩ Fall 2011 RTW

Ahh, Paris Fashion Week...It doesn't get much better. The ChloƩ show was highlighed by 70's style and snakeprint inspired pieces. I have always thought of this brand to be classic with a touch of modern feminine. Considering I can't get enough of flowy pieces right now, the first look is my favorite. The dress is simply gorgeous and so unique. I am interested to see what the rest of the week brings...stay tuned!

The Matchbook Girl...

Not only have I been pleasantly surprised by Matchbook Magazine, but this adorably sweet motto makes me love it even more - if that was possible!

Zara March Lookbook

I am loving what Zara has been doing lately, this lookbook especially reminds me of Celine, so simple and classic . My favorite look is the last one - I love that skirt and the clutch is gorgeous. It is probably a good thing that Zara doesn't offer online ordering because I know I wouldn't be able to stop myself!

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011

I know I'm behind on this, but I just had to feature Burberry's Fall 2011 show that took place in London a little over a week ago. I really enjoyed seeing the range of Christopher Bailey, Burberry's creative director. Although I wish more separates would have been featured, the coat was definitely the star of the show and tailored to perfection. Ranging from cropped pea coat styles to the military trench, there were many different options and I am obsessed with all of the patterns. My favorite, by far, goes to the closer of the show - I love the classic pattern with the bow, not to mention the shoes and bag are killer.

Pleats, Please

Once a trend that I shied away from, pleats has now become a fashion must have. This trend makes any outfit look more tailored while adding a touch of ladylike class. I am currently loving the look of pleated trousers, maxi skirts, and shorts (weather permitting, of course!)  The maxi has been everywhere the last few seasons and I think incorporating both trends into one look is genius. And as I have already mentioned, pleated trousers will be a big trend this Spring and Summer so playing it up with colors is a fun way to keep the look fresh. Since keeping the trend looking updated is most important in achieving this look, skip any outdated pleated items to avoid the borrowed-from-my-mother look.

How will you be styling your pleats this Spring?

How To: Leather Pants

Keeping on the trend of leather, I thought I would do a How To on leather pants. After seeing them all over, I am assuming this trend will stick around and soon been an alternative for your everyday denim look. I was initially intimidated by the thought of leather pants (minor flashbacks of Ross from Friends when he attempted the trend...!), but there are actually many different ways to wear leather pants and with a variety of colors, it is an easy addition to any wardrobe. I love that they make such a statement, especially when coupled with a fabulous clutch or handbag. Leather pants can easily transition from day to night by switching up shoes/accessories - simple flats to statement making pumps. Can't wait for Zara or Topshop to come out with their Spring versions!
